Having to Say Something VS Having Something to Say

As a speaker, this is something I have to continually ask myself. When I get up in front of an audience, am I speaking because….

I have to say something or because I have something to say.

It’s a minor but significant difference. I never want to be a speaker who gives a talk just for the sake of giving a talk. But rather I want to be a communicator that feels I truly have something to say that will be impactful to the audience.
