Do you ever find that there are some days when the littlest, stupidest things bug you the most? I mean really get under your skin and tick you off?
I was so fortunate to have that experience with a Wal-Mart shopping cart the other day. I walk with my wife, grab a cart, start pushing and it immediately starts pulling to the right. We go up and down a few isles before I’ve had enough and return to the front to replace it. However the “replacement” cart, pulled to the left.
I don’t know why it bugged me as much as it did…but it did!
At one point I got so frustrated that I just pushed it and let it veer off to the left and crash into a display!
Which again brings up the question…why do we let some of the stupidest things bother us the most?
Maybe you recently had a fight with a friend or your parent and when you stop to think about it, you realize how petty and ridiculous the fight was to begin with! When someone cuts you off in traffic, you have to wait longer than you wanted in line at the store, the item you wanted to buy was sold out, Tom denied you as a friend on MySpace…all silly things that we get frustrated over.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT…
- FOR YOU: What really bugs you and gets under your skin? Why?
- FOR US: What used to bug you but you’ve learned to let it slide? What changes have you made?
