MORE ABOUT THIS SHOW

Though Dan has always been intrigued by helping people find their purpose and the clarity that provides, he’s done a variety of things professionally.

As someone who dubs himself an entrepreneur from the top of his head to the tip of his toes, Dan has been a used car salesman, an owner of a car accessories business and has also been in the health & wellness field. He’s always found things he loved to do and found a way to make money doing them.

He’ll tell you that’s one of the reasons he’s so good at helping other people find what they’re good at; because he’s done so much and experienced so much of life, he knows the right questions to ask and the way to guide someone on their path of discovery.

THE FINER DETAILS OF THIS SHOW:

  • How did he become comfortable with uncertainty?
  • How do you find your passion according to Dan?
  • What’s the main benefit of the early part of our careers?
  • How he grew the 48 Day business from a 3-ring binder to several million dollars in 30 months.
  • Making a transition in 48 days, what Dan recommends.
  • And so much more!

In fact, it wasn’t until the age of 45 that Dan began what would eventually become his 48 Days book and business. What started out as a Sunday school class on making work transitions grew to a multi-million dollar speaking, coaching and writing business.

But it didn’t happen through magic. Dan had been in preparation for decades. He earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Ohio State University and later a Master’s degree in clinical psychology. Not because he wanted to be psychologist or counselor, but because he knew those degrees would help him understand people.

Combined with his indelible entrepreneurial spirit, Dan saw the opportunity in his transitions class when people began asking him for more materials and other people started showing up from miles away!

Knowing there was something to his class, he took a weekend program on publishing books and applied that knowledge to create 48 Days to the Work You Love. From there, it simply began to grow into coaching and speaking opportunities.

Today he embraces the challenge of helping as many people as he can make the transition from what they’re doing now to doing work they love.
